- Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Description
Are you a paediatric OT who went into this profession to make a real difference - not to drown in paperwork and feel disconnected from the reason you started?
At Jump Up For Kids, we do things differently.
We are a small, specialised paediatric OT service that believes nature is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. We combine evidence-based Occupational Therapy with outdoor and natural environments to support children to thrive in a busy, modern world that often works against healthy development.
If you love being outdoors, value quality over quantity, want to work in a genuinely supportive team, and are craving job satisfaction again, this role might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Jump Up For Kids is a specialised child development service supporting children and the people who care for them to become healthy, happy and capable adults.
We primarily support children funded through the NDIS, however our model is intentionally designed to prioritise intervention, connection and outcomes, not excessive admin. We actively work to protect our therapists from burnout so you can focus on what matters—meaningful therapy and relationships.
Our approach is:
- Child-centred and family-focused
- Strengths-based and positive
- Holistic and evidence-informed
- Grounded in nature and real-life environments
What makes this role different:
- A small, like-minded team who genuinely enjoy working together
- A culture that values laughter, creativity and innovation
- Space to do therapy properly - not rushed, not cookie-cutter
- Real impact for children and families
- Opportunities to upskill, specialise and progress in areas you’re passionate about
- Regular supervision and mentorship from experienced clinicians
What we offer:
- Salary aligned with the QLD Health, Health Practitioner Pay Scale
- Generous professional development allowance
- Regular supervision and support
- A workplace that actively prioritises therapist wellbeing
- Flexibility and autonomy within a supportive framework
- A role where you can be yourself, have fun, and do your best work
