















Description
Duties include:
- Responsible for ensuring that food arrives to the assigned locations in a safe and appropriate manner, that children receive nutritious meals in a timely manner and that the prevention of foodborne illnesses is of the highest priority
- Deliver supplies to sites as needed
- Store food and equipment appropriately in an organized manner both in the vehicle as well as at the program
- Return food containers to the kitchen daily
- Maintain established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation
- Conduct inventory, complete food temperature log, and deliver food to classrooms
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and up to twelve months of experience required
- Active ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain a ServSafe certification within the first six months of employment also required
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be flexible, prompt and reliable
- Valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance and a good driving record required
- Must be able to provide one’s own transportation
- Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
